BIO
Hi, I’m Duygu Rabeya Atacan Daniels. I was born in Ankara (1986) and grew up moving between Yalova, Istanbul, Chicago, New York, New Jersey, California and now Austin, Texas. I taught myself how to code and began building websites at age 10, eventually switching to designing mobile apps with the introduction of the iPhone. I specialize as a Founding Designer and Producer for early-stage software and hardware companies. In high school I started photography with a Kodak DC290, Canon AE-1, Polaroid Spectra and Holga. In college I studied the business of fashion and launched a clothing line and two startups between 2006–2013. I’m a Master of Divinity dropout, studying Tasawwuf (Sufism) under various teachers and theologians for over 15 years with a particular interest in the history of corruption in religion, the pursuit of gnosis in the context of tanzih and tashbih (spectrum of transcendence and immanence) especially through somatic emotional processing. I’m currently working on several print, writing and software projects.
I have a photography blog and linkedin. I might use substack. You can contact me here.
Thanks for visiting.
